Halloween :2024 trends
Halloween is a fun and festive time to dress up as anything without being judged. The development from Halloween as a kid to Halloween as an adult is quite interesting to look back on. We have gone from dressing up as scary witches or dolls to go trick or treating to wearing next to nothing and using it as an excuse to party.

However, what I love most about Halloween is how it reflects that year’s trends. From movies to patterns, here is my list of what I think will be the trending Halloween costumes of 2024.
2024 Halloween Costumes
Leopard
We have seen a massive comeback in leopard print this year, so of course there will be a role for it this Halloween. Go simple with some leopard print makeup and smokey eyeshadow, or go all out with a fur coat, ears and shorts.Some items you may already own, making it a good last minute option
2. Dallas cowboy cheerleader
Here is an idea for a couples costume or a duo! One of the most popular shows on Netflix, the combo of country with cheer had everyone loving the costumes the cheerleaders wear. A white skirt, sparkly cowboy boots, a tie blue and white top and of course some pom poms make the perfect Dallas cowboy Halloween costume! Even better, your partner only has to stick on a football jersey for you to match.
3. Diet Coke
This is what I am going as this year ( although mine looks a little different to this), but how cute is this as a last-minute group costume?! These outfits are giving serious Ja’mie vibes. Turn it into a couple costume by making your man Jack Daniels. Or stand alone and tell people to not drink YOUR Coke Zero. I have honestly never seen anyone dress up like this, so it seems fairly unique.
4. Princess Mia
Another close competitor for me is Mia from The Princess Diaries! Get some headphones, a white dress or corset and skirt and sunglasses, and you’re sorted! This specific image has been all over my Pinterest, so I am sure I will see a few princess Mias this Halloween.
5. The Menedez Brothers
I am not sure about this one. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the series as much as the next person ( despite how inaccurate it was), but I feel like there’s a conflict of interest here. I have seen guys dressing up as the brothers all over Tiktok, but the fact they are real, traumatised people puts me off this trend. Maybe if the series was related to their story and not exactly portraying it, it would be different, but it feels wrong to me. What do you guys think? Besides that, the series and soundtrack have been huge, so it’s inevitable it will be one of the most popular outfits this Halloween.
